The bespoke stationery process

Get in touch
If you would like to know a bit more about our work, then drop us an email. We aim to get back to you within 48 hours if not sooner.

We’ll chat, get to know what you are looking for and go over your time frame, details, colour scheme and style.

Once we have a clear idea of the look and quantity we will put together a quote, and if you’re happy to proceed we would require a 50% deposit before we begin the design stage. The remaining payment will be due on the final design sign off, once all the details are reconfirmed and ready to be hot foil pressed.

Time frame
We allow 4-6 weeks from design to delivery. We can occasionally accommodate rush jobs depending on how busy we are. However we are a small studio and don’t keep a huge amount of paper in stock.

Artwork
During the design stage we will send you a digital design pdf of your stationery. You can then come back to us with any feedback and changes you have. We currently don’t limit the amount of changes, we just say a fair amount.

We can start the design stage without all the details being confirmed.

Final proofs
Once you are happy with the design we will send you the final proof for you to approve. At this stage the remainder of the payment is due, before we order all of the materials, get your printing plates made and book in a pressing date.

It is your responsibility to ensure the details you provide are correct. We cannot take responsibility for any errors after the artwork has been approved.

Delivery
Please allow 2 weeks after the final approval. All of our stationery is sent via courier delivery.

Why does it take so long?
We allow 4-6 weeks on average to design and hand hot foil your stationery. Longer if you are having a bespoke designed suite. This is a good time frame to let you ponder over the design, confirm details and enjoy the process of creating your own stationery. I mean how often do you get to do that?!

For us it gives time to order all of the materials, get the metal hot foil plates made, press and delivery your stationery.

When should I book?
When you have a wedding date I would suggest it’s never too early to get in touch to plan your stationery time frame.

As a guide 3-6 months is a good time to send your invitations out before the event. So contacting us 6-9 months in advance is ideal to book in your design spot. If you are sending out save the dates then 9-12+ months beforehand and for destination weddings we suggest contacting us a year plus before the event date.

Do you offer bespoke design?
We include our design service with all of our stationery.

I’ve seen a design I like can you print it?
We cannot. Unless you have the specific permission from the designer. We will not replicate or press any designs that haven’t been created by us.

Can you hot foil any of your designs?
We offer hot foil on all our pieces. It creates a gorgeous high shine and is available in any colour to accompany your theme. We also offer digital printing on paper stock or vellum if you wanted to mix and match.

What is maximum pressing size?
We press up to A5 (148x210mm) in size.

Do you sell sample packs?
Yes we do. You can purchase a sample pack here

What is duplexing?
Duplexing is a technique where two separate papers are glued together. It allows you to have duel colour stationery. Or if you simply want to beef up the thickness of your paper stock higher than 700gsm.

What is a blind deboss?
This is an inkless impression that is pressed into the paper. If you want a minimal or delicate look then a blind deboss creates a sleek, crisp and tactile impression.

Do you just press invitations?
No we offer a whole range of stationery should you require it. Menus, order of service, order of the day, table plans & day signage, place name cards, table numbers…
